Photography School Asia was established in 2005, it quickly became regarded as Asia’s premier photography school. Students have traveled from all over the world for a chance to study at the school and with its founder Jonathan Taylor. The school is committed to teaching essential photographic skills while showing the students the best of Southeast Asia. Students will be instructed on how to develop their own photographic eye and compositional understanding.
The school comes equipped with a full professional studio and digital darkroom and is based in the centre of Bangkok. There are a wide range of courses available from basic to advance levels. We also teach, Understanding Digital Workflow, Mastering Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture and other Post Production Programs. Composition classes are also available again at an introduction level up to very advance. Photojournalism and Feature Photography and Portrait Workshops are very popular as are the Studio Photography Courses.
Photography School Asia also runs various photography trips and tours in Bangkok and throughout Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Private Courses can be arranged and are taught by Master Photographer Jonathan Taylor. He teaches each student in an easy going relaxed style, each course is created to target student’s individual needs.
Studio Workshops are held on a regular bases in our fully equipped professional studio. These exciting popular classes are taught by leading commercial and fashion photographer Markus Stass.

Our School is easy to get to, we are directly opposite Bangkok’s main railways station Hua Lumpong.
By MRT: There is an excellent MRT (Underground Railway, Metro, Tube) service in Bangkok and our school is right outside exit 01 of the Hua Lumpong Underground Station. Come out of the station by the Bangkok Centre Hotel, exit 01, look for the DOB Building on the corner just a few meters away. There is a cafe on the ground floor.
By Taxi: Ask for Hua Lumpong Railway Station, then just as you are approaching you will see the DOB Gallery Building directly opposite just over the busy intersection. If the taxi drops you on the wrong side of the road, use the pedestrian subway to cross over to us, we are very near exit 01.
